In November 1918, the sightseeing boat Little Baroness set out on the lake amidst a fog and never returned when it was time to return. ``It is reasonable to assume that the ship sank for some reason, a newspaper reporter wrote at the time. It is unknown whether this is true or not, as not a single piece of the ship has been found despite a frantic police search. And of the 14 crew members and passengers, no one has ever been found alive, let alone their bodies. An even more unusual incident occurred in 1939.

Prisoners do not know what remorse is. I dont think of myself as a bad person. Even the most uneducated and evil people use every word to justify themselves. And they are living with a silly, petty dream. Even in this darkness, even death row inmates are no exception. Human beings are the same no matter where they are or how ugly they are.

Toluca Lake is centrally located in Silent Hill and accompanies the towns major tourist attraction. This beautiful and clear lake has another face behind it. It may seem like a trivial ghost story or folk tale that can be found anywhere, or the kind of folklore that is common in old towns. However, another important and problematic aspect of this is that they are all based on fact.
